News Corp form analyst Brad Waters takes an early look at Saturday’s Zipping Classic meeting at Flemington.

BEST BET

REVOLUTIONARY MISS (Race 9, No.1)

Revolutionary Miss bounced back to her best form with an impressive win at Cranbourne last Saturday. She races well at Caulfield and likes 1600m.

VALUE BET

LIVELY (Race 4, No.8)

Lively looked a smart type in the making when disposing over her opposition at Warrnambool on debut. She could measure up to this harder assignment.

RACE 1: 12:10PM IVE> MERSON COOPER STAKES (1000m)

The two-year-olds start the Zipping Classic meeting. ENEEZA (4) can improve on her promising second down the straight at Flemington on Oaks Day. STORMBOURG (1) was backed and got the money on debut and could measure up to this. VOILE (9) jumped out well at Flemington and has drawn perfectly. FLATTERED (6) finished off her latest jumpout in strong fashion and looks set to run well on debut.

SUGGESTED BET: Eneeza to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Voile $3.80 – $3.20.

RACE 2: 12:40AM BECOME AN MRC MEMBER HANDICAP (1800m)

One of the harder races of the day but MONTATHER (6) is racing in solid form and has performed well on good and soft tracks recently. RUSSIAN DANCER (3) has gone well in longer races at his last two and has drawn well. AWASH (4) is flying in easier races and could handle the class rise. MERCIAN HYMN (10) will be better in his second Australian preparation.

SUGGESTED BET: Small win bet Montather.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Awash $5.50 – $4.80.

RACE 3: 12:00PM LISTED TAB TROPHY (1800m)

PESTO (5) fought on well in the Bendigo Cup and did enough to suggest at Flemington that he can win again, especially from the better gate. RULING (10) will be much fitter for a solid local debut and 2400m suits. FIRE GLO TOO (12) continues to race well and won’t be far away again here. CADMUS (11) was strong again at The Valley and is a 2400m winner in England.

SUGGESTED BET: Pesto to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Ruling $15 – $8.50.

RACE 4: 1:45PM LISTED MERCEDES-BENZ BERWICK TWILIGHT GLOW STAKES (1400m)

An even race but LIVELY (8) impressed with her debut win at Warrnambool and could be competitive in this tougher assignment. FLYING FIZZ (5) finished strongly to stay unbeaten at Sandown and will be thereabouts again. ALECTRONA (4) is consistent and should have every chance here. EXTREMELY ROWDY (1) will give a start but she has been most impressive in her last two runs.

SUGGESTED BET: Lively each-way.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Right To Party $21 – $8.50.

RACE 5: 2:20PM GROUP 3 LAMARO’S HOTEL ECLIPSE STAKES (1800m)

The small field should produce a tactical affair, which could suit JUST FOLK (1) on the seven-day back-up after an excellent effort in the Cranbourne Cup. AIN’TNODEELDUN (3) has won three in a row and has a great record over 1800m. JUNIPAL (4) was too strong in the Seymour Cup and will go well again here. KEATS (6) should race on the pace and be tough to run down.

SUGGESTED BET: Box trifecta 1, 3, 4, 6.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Just Folk $5 – $3.80.

RACE 6: 3:00PM GROUP 3 KEVIN HEFFERNAN STAKES (1400m)

The forecast showers over the next couple of days will leave the Caulfield track perfect for KING MAGNUS (3), who will be fitter for his excellent first-up run at Flemington. UNUSUAL CULTURE (10) is consistent and will be improved on a promising first-up run. VILANA (2) didn’t have the best of luck last time out and drops in class. NOT AN OPTION (6) wasn’t disgraced at Flemington but has drawn to improve.

SUGGESTED BET: King Magnus to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Vilana $2.80 – $2.25.

RACE 7: 3:40PM GROUP 2 NEDS SANDOWN GUINEAS (1600m)

ARKANSAW KID (1) has a class edge on his rivals and ran on like the 1600m will suit in the Blue Sapphire Stakes. SERESANA (7) has a tricky gate but led and tried hard at Sandown and won’t be far away. RIVERINA POWER (10) got home OK in the Blue Sapphire Stakes and can improve over this longer trip. MAURICIO (11) is a developing type that should relish a rise in trip.

SUGGESTED BET: Arkansaw Kid to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Mowdown $4.80 – $4.

Duke De Sessa will be better suited under weight-for-age conditions in the $750,000 Zipping Classic at Caulfield. Picture: Racing Photos via Getty Images.

RACE 8: 4:20PM GROUP 2 WHISPERING ANGEL ZIPPING CLASSIC (2400m)

Interesting edition of the Zipping Classic with DUKE DE SESSA (7) suited at weight-for-age after a sound effort under handicap conditions at Flemington. MURAMASA (10) has carried 54kg to win his last two outings but will be around the mark despite carrying more weight. AMADE (3) will run well if he jumps better than he did at Flemington. BANKERS CHOICE (5) is untried at 2400m but was excellent at his last run.

SUGGESTED BET: Duke De Sessa to win/saver on Muramasa.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Huetor $8 – $5.50.

RACE 9: 4:35PM GROUP 3 TILE IMPORTER SUMMONED STAKES (1600m)

Happy to back REVOLUTIONARY MISS (1) to win again after her impressive win at Cranbourne last Saturday. She likes Caulfield and the 1600m is perfect now. FRUMOS (4) tried hard at Cranbourne and has drawn to have every chance. ZENNZELLA (2) has trialled well and is a 1600m winner. THALASSOPHILE (3) drops in trip but has blinkers on and is down in class.

SUGGESTED BET: Revolutionary Miss to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Revolutionary Miss $3.20 – $2.80.

RACE 10: 5:40PM LISTED PREMIER SIGNS DOEVTON STAKES (1200m)

Interesting race to finish but GHAANATI (8) could be hard to hold out after her narrow defeat over this course last start. PROWLING (13) was solid over 1100m when resuming and has a strong second-up record. EXTREMELY LUCKY (9) did his best work late at Caulfield’s last meeting and has drawn perfectly. SEMILLION (11) has plenty of speed and will give them something to chase.

SUGGESTED BET: Ghaanati to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Lauda Sion $19 – $9.50.
