Form analyst Jett Hatton runs the rule over Friday night’s meeting at Cranbourne.

BEST BET

MUTINOUS (R6 No.1 – $2.80)

Flying this preparation having won his last two and looks well-placed at Cranbourne around the 1000m scamper. Speedy galloper so expect him to roll forward and prove hard to run down.

NEXT BEST

HOOFS DON’T LIE (R1 No.2 – $3.90)

Resumed with some pretty strong formlines in his first prep behind Giga Kick and Thron Bone and fought well over the trip at Moe. Comes here with the benefit of race fitness and Daniel Stackhouse sticks.

BOB THE HORSE (R4 No.1 – $5.50)

Honest galloper that rarely runs poorly but can break through for his first win at start number 15 on Friday. Good run last start at The Valley, sticks at the trip and drawn to run well.

VALUE BET

SUNDAY’S BEST (R5 No.10 – $9)

Decent effort first-up at Sandown behind a handy one in Riverplate which is favourite at The Valley on Saturday. Should improve for having the run and it’s worth noting her only go at the track and distance was a win.

JOCKEY – Brian Park

Only the one ride at Cranbourne but it looks a winnable one before he heads to The Valley on Saturday to leg aboard a smart three-year-old.

MUTINOUS (Race 6 No.1 – $2.80)
