SKYBIRD (R4 No.4 – $4.20)

Skybird should be ready to peak third-up. She ran home strongly for third last start in the Group 2 Blazer Stakes after drawing wide and settling back in the field. She can position closer here from barrier three, ideally no worse than midfield, and turn the tables on Revolutionary Miss.

Revolutionary Miss holds on in the last, getting it done in the Furphy Rose of Kingston Stakes.

RESERVE BANK (R2 No.6 – $3.50)

Reserve Bank was nosed out by stablemate First Settler in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes two weeks ago. That was his first defeat after dominant wins at Bendigo on debut in June and Ballarat first-up last month. He steps up to the 1200m for the first time.

CAULFIELD CUP TIP

BUCKAROO (R9 No.2 – $4.40)

Buckaroo is flying as a gelding, winning the Group 1 Underwood Stakes comprehensively before he was denied a hat-trick by talented mare Via Sistina in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes. He should get a great run from barrier eight. The only query is the 2400m, he finished a close fifth in the Group 1 Tancred Stakes last prep but that was before he was gelded.
