Consistent campaigner Elouyou is ready to make a rare visit to Sydney a worthwhile one for Scott Cameron as the Victorian trainer puts a maiden Royal Randwick win in his cross hairs this Saturday.
Cameron, the son of late Group 1-winning trainer Russell, is based at Flemington but was eager to head north to tackle the Precise Air Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m) with his lightly-raced talent.
Elouyou also landed among the emergencies in a race at Flemington the same day but will be making the overnight trip up to Sydney on Thursday.
The son of So You Think is a $3.10 favourite for the final event on the program and Cameron expected the gelding would run up to market expectations.

“It is probably the best he has been going all prep and the happiest I’ve been going into a race so I would be disappointed if he’s not there in the finish,” Cameron said.
“I seen the race in Sydney and with the prizemoney, he’s in an Benchmark 84 at Flemington worth $80,000 and that’s a 78 in Sydney looks like it has come up weaker and it’s worth double.
“The little worry would be it’s his first time travelling away but he is a really seasonable horse so I don’t think it will worry him.”

Elouyou is yet to run a bad race with two wins and five placings in seven starts to date.
The four-year-old went close to claiming a maiden city victory last start when he was run down late by Georgie Get Mad in a 1400m event at Flemington on June 8.
“I think he is a pretty nice horse,” Cameron said.
“He has only had seven starts and hasn’t missed the top three in all of them.
“He bounces, puts himself on speed and gives himself every chance.
“Usually he is clean out of the gates so the draw shouldn’t be an issue and I am really happy with the horse.”
In-form jockey Jason Collett has been tasked with navigating a path from barrier 12 on Elouyou.
