Storm Boy will be on a path towards the Golden Rose, for which he is currently a $6 second elect.

It’s likely Storm Boy will clash with Group 2 Todman Stakes winner Switzerland on the road to the Golden Rose, with trainer Chris Waller set to aim his galloper at the Group 1 via a likely first up run in the Group 2 Run To The Rose.

Switzerland is a notable trialler in the opening heat of the morning over 850m.

“I am very happy with him,” Waller said.

“He had a procedure done to his fetlock which has tidied up perfectly and has put on weight as well as strengthening up significantly.”

Godolphin will unleash a team of some of their brightest spring stars with Zardozi, Pericles, Tom Kitten and Aft Cabin all making appearances on the morning.

VRC Oaks winner Zardozi has her second tune up an 850m heat alongside Doncaster Mile runner-up Pericles.

Tom Kitten, a victor in last year’s Spring Champion Stakes, has been gelded and is also in an 850m heat.

Annabel Neasham’s Canterbury Stakes winner Lady Laguna is among the other triallists.
