TRAINER Anthony Cummings has last-start winners El Sid and Pennsylvania Ave primed for a stable double at Royal Randwick on Saturday.

El Sid lines up in the Fresh For Kids Plate (1000m) and Pennsylvania Ave contests the Local Greengrocer Handicap (2000m).

“I’ve been really happy with both horses since they won,’’ Cummings said. “El Sid did a great job to win first-up at Canterbury. He had been going well on the track before that race and we expected him to run a good race. He did a few things wrong and didn’t help himself but still got the job done so he can’t do anymore than that.’’

R1: FRESH FOR KIDS PLATE (1000m)

THE ever-confident Gai Waterhouse won’t hear of Vienna Waltz being beaten in the juvenile opener.

“She will win this race easily,’’ Waterhouse said. “She has won on a heavy track before and her work on a wet track (Tuesday) was superb, she skipped over it. This filly is going ahead in leaps and bounds.’’

R2: ERIC KIME HCP (1400m)

SEEKING Asylum has proven ability on wet tracks and has won on a seven-day back-up previously, giving trainer Gary Portelli reason to feel confident about the filly’s chances.

“She is a very tough filly and hasn’t missed an oat since last week (fifth to So Willie at Rosehill),’’ Portelli said. “The class factor is thrown out the window if you handle wet tracks and we know this filly loves soft and heavy going.’’

R3: TAB HIGHWAY HCP (1000m)

KOBY Jennings, coming off a career-best four winners at Rosehill last Saturday, can continue his winning momentum on the consistent Canberra sprinter Beau Tirage.

“There is always good form around Beau Tirage, he never runs a bad race,’’ Jennings said. “He gets through soft and heavy tracks and should be hard to beat again.’’

R4: LOCAL GREENGROCER HCP (2000m)

THE form out of Pennsylvania Ave’s fast-finishing Randwick win last start has been franked with minor placegetters Most Exalted and Firebird Flyer running the quinella in a Canterbury race midweek.

“It was good to see the form stand up,’’ said Anthony Cummings, trainer of Pennsylvania Ave. “I’m sure going to 2000m will suit him (Saturday) and I’m going to take the odds he will handle the wet track.’’

R5: SYDNEY MARKETS FOUNDATION HCP (1100m)

WAY Too Good, from the in-form James Cummings stable, gets her opportunity to break an exasperating run of near-misses.

“She deserves a win, she has been racing very well all campaign,’’ said Cummings, who prepared a winning double at Canterbury midweek. “Her last-start effort at Scone in the stakes race was one of her best runs. She handles the wet and is back on her home track so it looks nice race for her.’’

TAB MARKET MOVERS: Spieth $2.50-$2.25 ($500 @ $2.50, $1,500 @ $2.40), Dark Eyes $11-$12 ($500 @ $11, $470 @ $9.50)

R6: STAYER’S CUP (3200m)

TRAINER Rod Northam said there is not a better opportunity to test He’s Dreamin’ at 3200m than Saturday’s race.

“I’ve been training He’s Dreamin’ with the Stayer’s Cup in mind,’’ Northam said. “At Warwick Farm last start over 2200m he has probably lost that turn of foot but he kept grinding away.

“You never know if they are going to run the trip until you try them. There is no better time than now because he has had nine starts this campaign, he couldn’t be any fitter and he will handle the wet track.’’

R7: COLIN GRAY HCP (2000m)

KATHY O’Hara only has to look at the Randwick track rating — heavy 9 — if she needs a confidence boost for her ride on Dure.

“I’ve won on Dure in the wet before and he is one of the best wet-trackers I have ridden,’’ O’Hara said. “He has a good turn of foot on a heavy track and he is in form having won at Canberra last start.’’

TAB MARKET MOVERS: Tucanchoo $6-$5 ($1,100 @ $6)

R8: JUNE STAKES (1100m)

WOULDNT It Be Nice hasn’t won since his upset June Stakes win at $21 last year but trainer Paul Perry hasn’t ruled out a similar result on Saturday.

“He has had two runs back from a spell and his effort was good last start (sixth behind That’s A Good Idea),’’ Perry said. “If the track stays in the heavy range he will run well — he loves those conditions.’’

TAB MARKET MOVERS: Oxford Poet $11-$6.50 ($300 @ $11, $300 @ $9.50, $300 @ $6.50)

R9: GLENN WHEELER HCP (1200m)

ALL Summer Long might have lived in the shadow of his celebrated stablemate Clearly Innocent this season but trainer Greg Bennett can’t fault the chestnut’s form.

“I have sent All Summer Long to the races 12 times and he has won three races and the only time he missed a place was when he pulled up with a bone chip,’’ Bennett said. “He’s a really good horse and being by Snippetson he should handle the heavy. He will run a good race again.’’
