Shayno: Hello Mitchy. You know if (and hopefully when) Fangirl wins on Saturday, her earnings will go past $8 million-plus and we’ve still got King Charles III to run. Just regards the first-up run, she was beaten but very good by the clock.

Mitch: Second place prizemoney should get her over that mark too Shayno and that’s where I am tipping she will come. I’ve gone with the similarly classy stable Zougotcha. She can sit outside the lead again here and give Fangirl something to catch.

Shayno: Can’t wait for the Tea Rose. I know I’ll be out on my own here but I think Lazzura can lower the boom on her stablemate Autumn Glow. One is $13/$2.80, the other is odds-on. They can’t be that far apart on talent IMHO.

Mitch: Punters might stop reading this column after Saturday because I’ve tipped against the boom horse too. No doubt she’s destined for stardom and will be very hard to beat but Manaal is the filly with runs on the board. She ran down Traffic Warden at her last look at the Randwick 1400m in the Sires’.

Shayno: Private Eye aims for back to back wins in The Shorts and the way he ran in the Concorde under the circumstances with that time and pattern of the day, he was heroic. This has got ambush written all over it.

Mitch: Finally we can agree on something Shayno. I loved his return over an unsuitable 1000m scamper first up and reckon he’s right on track for another crack at The Everest. With that said, it’s hard to declare him from an awkward gate.

Shayno: Could be a big day for Joe Pride. Ceolwulf is no moral in the Kingston Town but he’s got to be the one to beat surely?

Mitch: Joe Pride has signalled his intention to have Ceolwulf ridden more forward from the tricky gate so that should be music to our ears. I’ve got him on top but give Eliyass a lot of respect.

Shayno: I’m Amenable in the Bill Ritchie and Kreon in the Kosciuszko. Oops, I mean the Highway – and then maybe the Kossie.

Mitch: I am saving my best for last, Shayno. I reckon Moravia has returned in great order and the drop back from stakes grade here looks perfect. Having something on Well Timed in race four too.
