HOT TIPS: WEEKEND BEST BETS

WODONGA (Friday)

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 59455

TRADE COMMANDER

Race 6, No. 3

Showed a return to form when runner-up in the Donald Cup last start and looks ready to win third up for new stable over his pet distance.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4

MOONEE VALLEY

ROD NICHOLSON (Herald Sun). Form: 48547

TADDEI TONDO

Race 9, No. 3

Big odds for galloper back in grade after good effort. Has won here.

TAB Fixed Odds: $14

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 11184

NICOSCENE

Race 9, No. 2

Not suited by heavy track when he resumed at Flemington. Loves this circuit and although in a competitive sprint might be a level above his rivals.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 04210

CHURCHILL DANCER

Race 7, No. 1

Another Hayes-Dabernig runner dropping back in class. Will need luck over the 1000m trip, but will relish Dylan Dunn’s 3kg claim.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.70

DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun). Form: 19540

TREVINDER

Race 7, No. 9

Rarely far away and loves this track.

TAB Fixed Odds: $12

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 01120

CHURCHILL DANCER

Race 7, No. 1

Finished four lengths behind Eclair Choice on Derby Day (the race Delectation ran fourth before going on to beat Chautauqua). That form should be too good against this lot. Opened $6, which was just crazy odds.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.70

ROSEHILL

NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 92328

TURBULENT JET

Race 9, No. 6

Gets back and runs on, which is why his overall record isn’t as good as it should be. Goes OK fresh and with an ounce of luck in the straight can fly home over the top of them.

TAB Fixed Odds: $10

LISTEN TO THE SUPERRACING PREVIEW OF ROSEHILL

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 30291

TYPHOON JOLIE

Race 6, No. 8

Going for the same stable here, with the Snowden’s saddling up this last-start winner who relegated last week’s Rosehill victor Fiftyshadesofgrey into third spot at Rosehill on November 14. She strips much better for the outing and can win again here at decent odds.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.80

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 08249

THE RUMOUR FILE

Race 7, No. 8

Is another French import, fresh off the Chris Waller production line. Set to give this a mighty shake at his first run in the country. Note the subtle gear changes here, which should switch him immediately.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

SHAYNE O’CASS (The Sportsman). Form: 85229

THE BIG RIG

Race 4, No. 10

Is from the Luke Pepper stable. The Big Rig was a solid fifth in the 1300m TAB Highway held here a few weeks ago and then went back home and won a mile race by 4-lengths. Pepper made a pretty compelling case for the horse when we caught up with him during the week.

TAB Fixed Odds: $15

DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 00247

CENTRE PIVOT

Race 8, No. 6

Failed on heavy track first-up but can be expected to improve sharply on firmer ground. Has a strong second-up record, notching two wins and a second from three runs, and has never finished further back than second in three runs over this track and distance.

TAB Fixed Odds: $11

DOOMBEN

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 58003

TREATMELIKEALADY

Race 4, No. 6

Comes off a 70-day let up and draws perfectly over the Doomben short course. The last time she played here fresh off a good gate, she gave George Moore hopeful Didntcostalot a hiding. Looks a good gamble at the $8 on offer.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8.50

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 63342

SALUTER

Race 5, No. 1

Drawn the car park but he has a clear class edge on this field and the $8 seems a good price early. Finished only 1.5 lengths off Steel Zip last start and beat the classy Architect home the start before that.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6

MORPHETTVILLE

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 81x62

COOL MAVERICK

Race 8, No. 2

Returned to racing with a good Balaklava victory before easing in betting when he worked home behind Spoilspot last time out. Drawn the inside and look for him to be hitting the line strongly, the $12 in early UBET markets looks solid each-way value.

TAB Fixed Odds: $13
