FOUR-PLAY

RACE 4: 3YO FILLIES HANDICAP (1200m)

$25 each-way ILLATIVE (11) $8/$2.80

Big raps on her early doors as the sister of stakes winner Illation but happened too soon. Given time and resumed with an honest fourth placing at Pakenham in February. Touched off in a tight finish at Flemington second-up and then notched a deserved maiden success last start, back at Pakenham. Drawn low and gets in light up in grade. Can go on with the job now.

RACE 7: LISTED GALILEE SERIES FINAL (2400m)

$50 win ANTRIM COAST (2) at $3.30

Arrived in time to win the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) at The Valley last start and should only be better suited at 2400m. Yet to win beyond that distance but runner-up behind Orchestral two starts in the Group 1 NZ Derby (2400m). Need only to hold form to win here. The best of APULIA (1) would be more than good enough, but jury out after two meek runs. Mindful of SUNSETS (3) to peak third-up.

RACE 8: GROUP 3 VICTORIA HANDICAP (1400m)

$50 win BUFFALO RIVER (2) at $4.20

Full respect for up and coming GLOBE (9), certainly the most upside of any runner in the field, but impossible to go past Buffalo River on recent form. The Caulfield specialist placed third in three consecutive starts, twice in Group 1 company, behind Mr Brightside and then finished a gallant fourth in the All-Star Mile last start. Back to 1400m, tick. Drawn to lead, dictate and win. Can he hold out Globe late?

RACE 9: GROUP 3 EASTER CUP (2000m)

$25 each-way BERKELEY SQUARE (6) at $8.50/$2.60

Tricky race with FIRST IMMORTAL (3) and CARINI (9) at the pointy end but liked the way Berkeley Square stuck on last start second in the Australian Cup Prelude behind Young Werther. Solid the start prior in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m), sixth beaten 2¼ lengths behind Atishu. Suited at 2000m, especially with a bit of cut in the ground. Definitely include in any exotic bet types – trifectas and first fours.

QUADZILLA

LEG 1 – RACE 7

ANTRIM COAST (2) arrived in time to win at The Valley last start. Expect the form to hold up and suited up in distance. SUNSETS (3) a definite danger, upset Riff Rocket last spring at Caulfield then placed third in the Victoria Derby. Only 2½ lengths from Antrim Coast last start, can make up the difference up in distance with fitness under the belt. ZED OR ALIVE (7) the knockout chance.

1ST LEG: 2, 3, 7

LEG 2 – RACE 8

BUFFALO RIVER (2) has the form and fitness to be winning this. Track and distance specialist, drawn the pole and hardest to run down. Should be in front a long way and only knock is whether he’s had enough after a tough prep. GLOBE (9) the horse on the up, untapped potential. Last crack at Buffalo River? SEONEE (5) flies second-up (won three of four) and THE INFERNO (3) best of the rest, gone a long time without a win but racing well and 1400m suits.

2ND LEG: 2, 3, 5, 9

LEG 3 – RACE 9

FIRST IMMORTAL (3) was a class above winning last start and primed to repeat the dose. Short enough but proven at 2000m and has won twice in as many starts at Caulfield. CARINI (9) has not been beaten far the past three starts and should get a suitable tempo here. JENNILALA (8) raced extremely well in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic last start, sixth of 17 beaten two lengths. Back in grade and competitive. Include BERKELEY SQUARE (6), good effort last start in the Australian Cup Prelude.

3RD LEG: 3, 6, 8, 9

LEG 4 – RACE 10

BELLE PLAISIR (1) sustained a tough run last start at The Valley and just missed in a photo finish. Better again third-up and drawn to get an economical steer. Big weight but capable. REGAL AZMON (11) finished alongside Belle Plaisir last start, do they fight out the finish again? Favourite FRIGID (13) ran fifth in the same race. Include FLASH FEELING (5), also been around the mark in races not necessarily run to suit. A bit more speed here.

4TH LEG: 1, 5, 11, 13

COST $100 FOR 52%

SKINNY QUADDIE

1ST LEG: 2, 3

2ND LEG: 2, 9

3RD LEG: 3, 6, 8

4TH LEG: 1, 11, 15

COST $100 FOR 185%
