Legendary jockey Damien Oliver will get the chance to go out with a bang and win his third Cox Plate.
Racenet can exclusively reveal “The Goat” (Australia’s greatest jockey of all time) will partner Ed Cummings-trained three-time Group 1 winning mare Duais in Saturday’s week’s Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.

Duais, who finished third behind Alligator Blood in Saturday’s Group 1 Might And Power at Caulfield, will not back up in Saturday’s Caulfield Cup.
Rather, she will head to the Cox Plate on October 28 where she is currently a $34 chance in latest betting markets on TAB.
In August, Racenet exclusively revealed Oliver was retiring and would hang up the saddle in December after one final Victorian spring carnival.
Since revealing his retirement plans, Oliver has added to his Group 1 tally by scoring the Underwood Stakes on Alligator Blood.

Oliver, now with a record 129 Group 1 wins, will be having his first ride on Duais in the Cox Plate.
One of the most iconic figures in Australian sport has Spreviously won the Cox Plate on Dane Ripper (1997) and Northerly (2001).
The win on Dane Ripper was for the legendary Bart Cummings and 26 years later Oliver will be striving to win the Cox Plate for Bart’s grandson Ed.
