INSIDE MAIL

RACE 1

Canpickapony was spelled after her debut eighth at Warwick Farm in March. Sprinted smartly to win her Rosehill trial by nearly two lengths on July 12. Grassburn went back to find cover three before working home down the outside to finish a length-and-a-half fourth to Linwood over 1100m at Warwick Farm last start. She did plenty of work when last of six her the start prior. Gets a nice run from the draw. Havasu Falls is a debutant by Lonhro from a half-sister to Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente. Closed smartly to win her Hawkesbury trial on July 8.

Bet: Canpickapony to win

RACE 2

Maracaibo Sun was slow out before pushing up to sit behind the leader and held his ground when second to the consistent Khaznah with a big gap back to the rest in a Super Maiden when resuming here three weeks. Can go one better. Trunk was sent forward to lead before finishing third to short-priced favourite Tarpaulin when resuming at Warwick Farm on July 10. Will take improvement from the run. Bengal ran handy races in his only two starts. Back for his second campaign and trialling nicely.

Bet: Maracaibo Sun to win

RACE 3

Cosmonova was a handy fourth behind One Destiny in a handy form race when resuming at Warwick Farm on June 5. Was below her best when last to In Flight at Rosehill. Has since trialled well at Warwick Farm. Showed good ability winning back-to-back races last campaign. Khaznah placed in each of her first six starts and was rewarded for her consistent form with an all-the-way win here three weeks ago. Good chance again. Magnucat was good winning both runs in his first preparation in the country. Won his Rosehill trial on July 12 with his ears pricked.

Bet: Cosmonova to win

RACE 4

Former Victorian mare Humming makes her debut for the Joe Pride stable. Scored a smart all-the-way win on debut at Moe and placed in three of her next four runs. Trilling well including a big win in her Warwick Farm heat on July 15. Flying Thinker led and sat outside the leader at Newcastle and Scone respectively before coming away for stylish wins. Chance or the hat-trick. Exceed The Dream worked home soundly to finish a short neck third to Gracie’s Rain when resuming at Sale on June 26. She is a second-up winner previously.

Bet: Humming to win

RACE 5

Danish Prince is knocking on the door. Just pipped by Time Quest three starts back before a close third to talented Franz Josef in a BM78 at Rosehill. Sat outside Space Age when third at Warwick Farm last start. Osman has been terrific this campaign with two wins and three placings from five starts. Won well at Wyong two runs back before a third to The Great Houdini at Newcastle. Drawn well suited stepping up to 1550m. All In The Mind was inconvenienced on the home turn when seventh here last start. Nice second to Elsie May here before that.

Bet: Danish Prince to win

RACE 6

Flying Destiny kept grinding away when seventh to One Destiny first-up then boxed on well when third to the smart Kerguelen at Warwick Farm last tine out. Ready to peak third-up and looks a good each-way chance. How Dare You has been freshened since her seventh to Captain Furai at Rosehill on June 15 when she laid in and wasn’t fully tested. Ran home strongly to win at Scone first-up. Triskelion will take improvement from his first-up sixth to Titan Star at Hawkesbury at his first run for a new stable. He won his maiden on debut at this track.

Bet: Flying Destiny each-way

RACE 7

Guzumped went back from his wide gate and ran on well for third to Headley Grange over 1600m at Warwick last start. Up to 1900m but has placed over further. Monarchs Brae dropped out to finish a long last behind Elsie May at his first go on a heavy track over 2130m at Warwick Farm two weeks ago. Was a close second to Go Troppo over this track and distance the start before. Back on better ground will suit. McGeehan sat three-wide for most of the race when third in that same race behind Elsie May. Gets in well with the 3kg claim.

Bet: Guzumped to win
