Several Australians are destined for European moves, as the English transfer window prepares for a hectic deadline day of activity.
Socceroos star Aaron Mooy looks set to stay put at Huddersfield Town, but fellow midfielder Massimo Luongo is on the verge of finding a new Championship home.
Former Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak’s futures is also in the spotlight, with his future remaining unclear two months after being released by Aston Villa.

Jedinak, 35, is training solo in the UK as he weighs up his future amid interest from several English clubs who crave his leadership and physical presence.
“Trying to get the club to the Premier League was the aim, and is still the aim now,’’ Jedinak told the Herald-Sun in May.
“I’d love it and I’d love for the kids to get to see me experience it – they’re very keen footballers.”
Denmark-based winger Awer Mabil could switch clubs, after Midtyjlland’s formation change has left him coming off the bench in recent weeks.
A deadline day frenzy looms in England, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal looking likeliest to do big deadline day deals, with the English transfer window closing Friday 2am AEST (Thursday 5pm London time).
With Real Madrid still hopeful of signing Paul Pogba, Man United are sweating with the other European leagues able to sign players well after the English window closes.
The Italian window is open until August 18, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Belgian, Scottish and Turkish clubs can buy players until August 31, while Dutch clubs have until September 3.
Spurs appear to have trumped Man United for the prized signature of Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala, while Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho is attracting strong Premier League interest.
Spurs and United are also vying for the signature of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side also interested in Tottenham’s Christian Erikssen.
Brighton keeper Mat Ryan is likely to be the only Australian in the Premier League this season, after relegated Huddersfield Town slapped a significant transfer fee on Mooy’s head.
Mooy, who started in Huddersfield’s Championship opener against Derby County last Tuesday, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs but is unlikely to entertain any offers abroad.
The Terriers, who paid $17 million from Manchester City after a successful loan deal, are believed to have placed a transfer fee in excess of $20 million on his head.
Man City also have a buyback option, but there is no talk of triggering it despite Pep Guardiola’s positive comments on the Aussie in the past.
