The voice of soccer in Australia will be heard again.
There was a collective meltdown throughout the soccer community when Simon Hill departed Fox Sports last month after 14 years.
It was seen by the many to be the final nail in the A-League‘s coffin with Hill being Australia’s equivalent of Martin Tyler, the revered voice of the English Premier League.
But SEN boss Craig Hutchison has resurrected Hill, signing him to call the A-League finals series on his sports radio network.
Hill, 52, said he was excited about getting the opportunity to finish what he started with the A-League this season.
“I’ve been overwhelmed since leaving Fox with the support of Australian football fans, and humbled by their support,” Hill said.

“This is a chance to finish the job with regards to this year’s A-League season and express my joy at the return of the season after this difficult time, and further connect to fans and say thanks for their support.”
Hill will also feature weekly on SEN‘s Dwayne’s World with Dwayne Russell, starting on Tuesday.
He will have plenty to discuss with the A-League scheduled to play its first game since March on Friday between Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix.
Getting the season restarted has been a comedy of errors with the three Melbourne clubs finally arriving in NSW on Saturday morning after a couple of aborted attempts to cross the border.
The A-League hopes to have the season finished by the end of August before it swings into its new winter timeslot – from December to July – for the 2020/21 season.
Fox Sports has agreed to a new one-year deal to cover next year‘s A-League and W-League seasons as well as internationals featuring the Matildas and Socceroos.
