Ghana international Daniel Amartey joins EPL’s Leicester City from FC Copenhagen

LEICESTER has boosted its squad for the business end of the EPL, with the high-flying club signing Ghana international Daniel Amartey.

LEICESTER has signed Ghana international Daniel Amartey from FC Copenhagen.

The Premier League club says the 21-year-old Amartey, who can play in central midfield or at right-back, had signed a contract until 2020. The fee has not been disclosed.

Leicester has been the success story of this Premier League campaign. Having survived relegation last season, Leicester is in the title race, sitting second but level on points with leader Arsenal.

Amartey said: “All over Europe, people are talking about Leicester and how well the club is doing in the Premier League. The team plays exciting, attacking football and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”
