Matildas gun Charli Grant has sent her teammates into meltdown after dropping news of her engagement to Lachlan Cameron on Boxing Day,

The 23-year-old footballer took to Instagram after he popped the question over the holiday period.

Cameron had set the scene with a trail of rose petals, balloons, and a display of photos of their relationship next to a glowing “MARRY ME” sign.

Grant shared the news publicly on Boxing Day, and the post immediately lit up with support from teammates and fans.

Fellow Matildas showered the couple with love in the comments section.

Roses are a safe bet.

“Here we goooooo Mrs Cameron,” Hayley Raso wrote.

A simple “Congrats!” came from Sam Kerr, while Mackenzie Arnold cheekily added, “Cha Cha is a wifeyyy.”

Fellow teammates including Steph Catley, Chloe Logarzo, and Kyah Simon also chimed in with their congratulations.

Grant’s teammates from English club Tottenham also joined in on the celebration.

Grant made her Matildas debut in 2021 at just 20 years old and has already carved out an impressive career, scoring her first international goal in a friendly against England in 2023.
