Graham Arnold will remain Socceroos and Olyroos coach after turning down an offer to take charge of Korean team FC Seoul.

Arnold was tempted by the lucrative deal, but has elected to stay loyal to national program.

Arnold’s agent Tony Rallis confirmed his client had turned down the Korean deal.

“He’s rejected it,” Rallis said.

“It was a great offer but it just sprung up on him.”

However, another coaching offered – understood to be from an American MLS club – remains on the table for Arnold to consider over the coming weeks.

“That’s a process,” Rallis said.

It’s understood Arnold will on Wednesday inform Football Federation Australia of his decision to continue as Socceroos and Olyroos coach.

On Tuesday night, FFA CEO James Johnson said he expected Arnold to fulfil his commitments to coach the Olyroos at next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo and guide the Socceroos to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“The prestige of coaching a national team is a rare opportunity and we would expect that Graham Arnold sees through his commitment,” Johnson said.
