Check out our player ratings and then cast your vote below!

1/ Mat Ryan - 7.5

The Socceroos goalkeeper didn’t have a whole lot to do, but once again his distribution was magnificent.

2/ Ivan Franjic - 7.5

Franjic had an important hand in the second hand in second goal scored by Jason Davidson and combined well with Robbie Kruse down the right side of the field.

3/ Jason Davidson 7.5

The left-back took his goal really well, but he fell off the pace a bit as an attacking force in the second half.

6/ Matthew Spiranovic 7.5

Spiranovic made some important interceptions, especially in the first half, and helped the Socceroos hang on their clean sheet in the second.

20/ Trent Sainsbury 8

That early goal, his first for the Socceroos, did wonders for Sainsbury’s confidence and the central defender went on to have a solid, man of the match performance.

5/ Mark Milligan 7

Probably not one of his best games, though Milligan didn’t do too much wrong. He was replaced by Matt McKay early in the second half.

15/ Mile Jedinak 7.5

The Socceroos captain had an imposing game in the middle of the park and lifted his game in the second half when the team needed him most.

21/ Massimo Luongo 7.5

Luongo once again showed why his star is rising after he had a hand in both goals and constantly threatened the UAE defenders.

7/ Mathew Leckie 7.5

Leckie showed plenty of energy and his usual pace going forward in the first half and tracked back with the dangerous Khalil in defence, but tired toward the end.

10/ Robbie Kruse 7.5

Kruse was a real threat down the right and his link up play with Franjic troubled the UAE.

4/ Tim Cahill - 7

He didn’t get on the scoresheet, but for 66 minutes Cahill ran his socks off. The Socceroos star even made two crucial clearances to thwart the UAE’s attack.

17/ Matt McKay 7.5

McKay was brought on in place of Milligan to tighten things up after a sloppy start to the second half and he did the job.

Tomi Juric 6

James Troisi 6
