HIS targets are disappearing one by one, but Sydney FC striker Bobo has no intention of slacking off any time yet.

The Brazilian’s brace against Melbourne Victory on Friday night took him to 18 goals and made him the club’s record goalscorer in a single season, having drawn level with previous marquee Marc Janko the week before.

It reinforces his status as favourite to land the A-League’s Golden Boot, with nearest rival Ross McCormack back in the UK while Melbourne City continue to negotiate a return with Aston Villa.

But Bobo also seems to be on track to meet the targets set by Sydney coach Graham Arnold at the start of the season.

It’s understood Arnold challenged Bobo to finish ahead of Melbourne Victory’s Besart Berisha and Melbourne City striker Bruno Fornaroli.

The latter is yet to play this season after having his ankle broken in the FFA Cup in September, while Berisha’s stop-start season has produced only eight goals.

The next target for Bobo is the 23 scored by Fornaroli two seasons ago to set a record for the most in one season (excluding finals).

Meanwhile, teammates Brandon O’Neill will miss Friday night’s home clash with Wellington at Allianz Stadium.

O’Neill was booked against Victory, his fifth caution of the season, and will sit out one game as a result.
