Sadio Mane had given Liverpool the lead on Monday Night Football when James Milner was not adjudged to have been offside in the build-up by the assistant on the near touchline, but Michail Antonio quickly restored parity at the London Stadium.
Klopp was involved in a heated discussion with West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini following the full-time whistle and then went onto the pitch to remonstrate with Friend.
The Liverpool manager subsequently used his post-match interview to bemoan Friend’s decision making.
Klopp told Sky Sports: “We had good moments, coming through the channels and scored the goal, which I’ve now been told is offside. This explains a little bit the second half, because I think the referee knew at halftime.
“He knew it for sure at halftime, and then you saw a lot of strange situations. They were not decisive but just rhythm breakers. That obviously didn’t help us.
“If I’ve made a mistake in the first half, I don’t want to open the gap even more as a human being.”
Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to just three points following the draw, leaving the door open for Manchester City to leapfrog them with victory over Everton on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp is so similar to Jose Mourinho, it's just amazing when he gets on his high horse. Both of them blame everyone but themselves when things don't go their way. Moaners !#WHULIV #Klopp

So Jurgen Klopp is turning into Jose Mourinho and doing his damnedest to piss off all anyone who thought "Actually, I quite like him. He's a character."

How to ensure you unite a nation in hope that Liverpool lose it.
Klopp talking absolute nonsense about the referee. Lifted straight from the Jose Mourinho book of "How to divert the attention from a shite performance".
