Melissa Hoskins was an Olympic cyclist, allegedly killed by her husband – fellow Olympian Rohan Dennis – while he was driving a luxury car outside their Adelaide home.
The mother-of-two, 32, died on the night of Saturday, December 30, 2023, after the family’s dark grey 2022 Volkswagen Amarok Highline V6 ute struck her on Avenel Gardens Rd, Medindie.
Major Crash police have charged her husband, former world champion cyclist and Olympian Rohan Dennis, 33, with killing her.
Worldwide tributes have been paid to Hoskins, who was originally from WA and started track cycling aged 15 before she retired from professional cycling in 2017.
Adelaide-born Dennis was a swimmer until age 15, when he switched to cycling. He announced his retirement from professional cycling in 2023.
