Australia are World Cup champions once again – toppling India in a stunning upset. But who starred and who flopped on the biggest stage? Daniel Cherny rates every player.

Australia has pulled off a miracle to win nine straight games and steal the 2023 World Cup from India.

The stunning six-wicket victory was the result of Australia’s bowling unit clicking into gear from the semi-finals, and a whirlwind knock from Travis Head which silenced the 130,000-strong crowd in Ahmedabad.

And while some of his experienced teammates faltered, Marnus Labuschagne played a rock solid anchor role to capitalise on Head’s mastery at the top of the order and steer Australia home.

But not everyone will be pleased with their output in the final – and Daniel Cherny takes no prisoners in his player ratings from Australia’s brilliant victory.
