Will Pucovski has been given three weeks off before Australia A’s four-day game against the English Lions after suffering concussion in freak circumstances on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

Will Pucvoski will fly home to Melbourne as early as Tuesday after being ruled out of the next two matches against the English Lions with concussion.
The Victorian will, however, likely be selected in the Australia A squad which will take on the tourists in a four-day game at the MCG from February 22.
Pucovski was subbed out Cricket Australia XI loss to the Lions on Sunday on the Gold Coast after knocking his head in a freak accident while batting.

The 22-year-old, who has a long history of concussions, reported as being “off-on” in the hours after the match.
He was better on Monday morning, but concussion protocols demanded he missed Tuesday’s rematch and CA officials decided to leave him out of Thursday’s third one-day game as a precaution and given the short turnaround in games.
It gives Pucovski close to three weeks to recover in time for the four-day clash at the MCG, the squad for which will be confirmed in the next 48 hours.
Pucovski, who was captain of the CA XI, is expected to be picked in that squad, pending his availability.
Former Test opener Marcus Harris has been called up as a replacement for Pucovski in the CA XI which for the next two one-day matches, both on the Gold Coast.
National selectors are also expected to bring forward the naming of the white-ball squad for this month’s tour of South Africa to Tuesday or Wednesday.
The squad, which could feature 14 players to cover both the one-day and T20 games, was going to be named after the Big Bash final.
Star batsmen Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis, who dominated the regular season of the BBL, are expected to earn national recalls, having been dumped from the one-day team after underwhelming World Cups.
Middle-order batsman Ashton Turner is in the gun, having failed on the recent tour of India with just 17 runs in two innings.
