Two more men have been charged in relation to the alleged kidnapping of former Test cricketer Stuart MacGill.

The 50-year-old former spin bowler was allegedly forced into a car near his home in Cremorne on Sydney’s lower north shore on April 14 and driven 60km away to a dilapidated house at Bringelly.

Police have alleged MacGill was beaten and threatened with a gun before being released 40km away at Belmore. MacGill went into hiding after the incident.

The incident was reported to officers from North Shore Police Area Command on April 20.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad launched an investigation under Strike Force Cain.

Detectives, with assistance from Raptor Squad and the Public Order and Riot Squad, arrested four men – aged 27, 29, 42 and 46 – on May 5.

Among the four men arrested was the brother of MacGill’s girlfriend, Maria O’Meagher.

All four men were charged over their alleged involvement in the incident and remain before the courts.

Police have repeatedly insisted Mr MacGill and Ms O’Meagher were not involved in any wrongdoing and described him as “purely a victim”.

Following further investigations, and a public appeal for information, strike force detectives raided two homes at Blacktown and Rouse Hill last Friday.

On Monday, two men – aged 22 and 19 – were taken under police escort from a correctional centre at Silverwater to Parramatta police station where they were arrested.

Elijah Schaaf, 22, and Vaeluagaomatagi Feilo, 19, were taken to Parramatta police station and charged with detaining someone in company with intent to get advantage, occasioning actual bodily harm and participating in a criminal group.

Both men were remanded in custody and did not appear or apply for bail at Parramatta Local Court as their charges were briefly mentioned on Tuesday morning.

Both matters were adjourned to August 26.

According to court documents, police allege Mr Feilo detained and caused actual bodily harm to Mr MacGill between 6pm and 11pm on April 14 at Cremorne, while Mr Schaaf is charged with accessory before the fact to the same offence between the hours of 7pm and 11pm.

Detectives are still appealing for information about a third man they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

Police believe the man is known as Sonny or Zac, and that he can assist with their investigation.

He is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 25 and 35, with a solid build, short dark coloured thinning hair and a brown and red coloured beard.

He was last seen driving a white Toyota Camry with a rideshare sticker on the rear.

MacGill broke his silence on the incident last week in an interview with A Current Affair in which he said the ordeal had “taken a toll” on him.

“I know that I have done nothing wrong, Maria has done nothing wrong. If people choose to think something contrary to what’s been presented by both myself and the police, then that’s up to them,” MacGill told Channel 9’s A Current Affair.

Investigations by the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad are continuing.
