TASMANIAN recruit Gurinder Sandhu found the perfect time to take his first ever hat-trick turning the JLT Cup final on it’s head with a staggering last over at the Junction Oval.
After the Vics took 18 runs from the second last over of their innings Sandhu, the former NSW quick, put the game back on his team’s terms with a stunning six ball haul of 4-1.
Bowling a variety of slower balls and cross-seam deliveries Sandhu had the Victoria tail in all sorts.

After dismissing Chris Tremain on the second ball of the last over, the final three wickets came in a row as Sandhu got rid of Matt Short, Fawad Ahmed and finally Andrew Fekete with the final three balls of the innings.
It was not only Sandhu’s first hat-trick, at any level, but also the first ever for a Tasmanian bowler in a domestic one day game.

It took the Vics from 7-274 to all out for the same score and Sandhu finished with the incredible figures of 7-56 having also removed danger men Glenn Maxwell (9) and Peter Handscomb (49) earlier the innings.
