Roxy Jacenko feud with Candice Warner suddenly explodes

The feud between Candice Warner and Roxy Jacenko has erupted after the former Ironwoman was targeted by “vile” abuse.

PR queen Roxy Jacenko has suddenly re-ignited her feud with Candice Warner.

More than two years after their infamous falling out, Jacenko has now taken a swipe at the former Ironwoman after she revealed an ugly incident during the Adelaide Test match last week.

Warner, the wife of Australian batter, David Warner revealed she called out spectators at the Adelaide Oval when she was verbally abused by “gutless bullies” in front of her children.

It prompted Cricket Australia to contact her on Monday with an offer to have private security services available to her.

Jacenko followed the news with a surprisingly hostile swipe at her former friend and client.

The 42-year-old posted a photo of The Daily Telegraph’s exclusive story, referencing the public boxing session with Warner that went spectacularly bad.

“Now that would be a waste of money,” Jacenko captioned the image.

“We know how she performs in the ring and that’s with people she liked at the time.”

The pair have never fixed their relationship since Jacenko infamously walked out on the first day of filming of their appearances on hit reality TV Show SAS: Australia.

Jacenko is the record-holder for shortest stint as a contestant on any season of the show.

The Sydney-based founder of the Sweaty Betty publicity agency famously lasted just six hours – shortly after a tough fight with Candice Warner that ruined their friendship.

Jacenko slammed the show in interviews after her exit, saying she was “upset” to be paired with Warner for a one-on-one boxing match.

Warner, a friend and PR client of Jacenko’s at the time of filming, was shown landing several strong blows while Jacenko barely fought back.

“You wouldn’t continue punching when the person – me – turns their back and continue punching them in the back of the head. In boxing, that’s totally not allowed. The reality is, I can’t punch my then-friend in the face for people’s entertainment,” she said.

Jacenko revealed she cried after their bout, and said Warner had not since reached out to try and repair their friendship: “No, she sacked me instead.”

However, Warner has previously told a different version of events.

Warner said in a radio interview in 2020 that she hoped they could repair their friendship.

She told Nova that Jacenko’s public criticism was “typical” and said she wasn’t “losing any sleep” over their feud.

“[I was prepared to sit down with Roxy and chat] but it’s typical and I’ll just leave it at that,” Warner said.

She explained how the pair have had no contact since filming of the show, despite Warner still being represented by Jacenko’s PR company at the time.

It has not yet been confirmed if Warner intends to attend the Brisbane Test at the Gabba, beginning on Saturday.
