Do Australia still need Steve Smith and David Warner in their World Cup squad?

Can Australia do without Steve Smith at the World Cup? The Cricket Unfiltered team think the unthinkable. Plus a historic win in India reviewed, James Pattinson, mad rule changes and more.

It seemed unthinkable even less than a month ago, but Australia’s dramatic series win in India and the form of Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb means the question is now being asked: where would Steve Smith fit in Australia’s first XI at this year’s World Cup?

Cricket Unfiltered podcast host Andrew Menczel is joined by Joe Barton and Steve Wilson to discuss that, review Australia’s first ever series win from 2-0 down and some proposed rule changes for Test cricket.

They also hear from James Pattinson, currently looking fit for purpose. That purpose, of course, being to terrorise English batsmen this winter.
