The race for semi-final spots is hotting up – while Australia’s latest victory could consign England to bottom spot at the World Cup. Every team’s predicted finish revealed inside.

Flying Zampa takes stunning catch

Virat Kohli equalled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 one-day international hundreds as India bowled out South Africa for just 83 in a 243-run World Cup rout.

With New Zealand on a shock four-game losing streak, and both Pakistan and Afghanistan charging up the ladder, the race is well and truly on for the World Cup semi-finals.

South Africa and India will be there, that much is known. Australia, after their clutch victory over England, are edging closer to being assured to also be among the final four - with South Africa their likely semi-final opponent - as they extended their winning streak to five matches.

But the final outcome of the top four, and who will play who in the semi-finals, could go down to the wire.

CODE Sport’s Daniel Cherny runs his eye over the rest of the schedule to predict how it’s all going to go down.
