Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been roasted after one of the all-time worst DRS reviews in the first innings of the second Test in Adelaide.
After a strong start for India after a first ball wicket for Mitchell Starc, the Aussies hit back before tea in the day/night Test to take the opening day of the match by the scruff of the neck.

A rearguard action by the lower order took India from 5/87 to 180 all out with Ashwin coming to the party scoring 22 off 22 balls.
But the experienced off-spinner would want his dismissal back after a horrific review against Starc.
The left-arm Aussie quick hooped a yorker in and struck Ashwin directly in front, but the 38-year-old opted to send it upstairs more out of hope than anything.
After missing the ball by a mile, the replay showed the ball crashing into middle stump and Ashwin was sent on his way, with the cricket world piling on.
Fox Sports’ Mark Howard kicked off the pile on, suggesting it would “get a run tomorrow in our top three reviews”.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan was also quick to roast the spinner.
“I saw Rohit Sharma strolled off without reviewing, but that’s one of the best reviews I’ve seen,” Vaughan said.
“It may have been going under (the stumps). He missed it by a few inches.”
In Ashwin’s defence, India had not used a review all day and had three left but it didn’t stop the cricket world taking aim at the Indian spinner.
Even 7Cricket wrote: “You can’t get much more plumb than that!”
Code Sports’ Tim Michell posted: “Hitting middle 10cm up. That is an all time terrible review by Ashwin.”
News Corp’s Jon Tuxworth commented: “I reckon if you do a review as plumb as Ashwin’s, instead of giving the red ‘out’ on the screen it should say ‘are you kidding me mate wtf was that’.”
The Chase’s Brydon Coverdale said: “That from Ashwin was the worst review since Roger Ebert wrote of ‘North’ that ‘I hated this movie. Hated hated hated hated hated this movie. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it’.”
One fan added: “Horrible review from Ashwin.”
Another suggested it was “a dead set Watson-esque review from Ashwin”.
A third responded: “Top review by Ashwin. Never let him review anything in his life again when he’s batting.”
A fourth said: “That’s the worst Ashwin review since that time he reviewed when bowled by Ajaz Patel.”
A fifth wrote: “That might be the most plumb lbw I’ve ever seen, why did Ashwin review it???”
Speaking on Fox Cricket, Mark Waugh called it “the ball of the century almost … that was almost unplayable.”
While the dismissal was something Ashwin will want to forget, he was part of the rearguard action for the Indians.
Coming in at 6/109, Ashwin scored a lionshare of the 32-run stand with Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Reddy also took over late, finishing with 42 off 54 balls and helping India to 180.
While it appears to be under-par, it’s a similar scenario to the first Test and will see Australia take the crease under lights with the pink ball.
The performance with the pink ball was brilliant once again from Starc, who finished with career best figures of 6/48.
