Mike Tyson’s mega fight against Jake Paul has gone as most expected, with the 58-year-old struggling to land a punch.
Mike Tyson’s return to the ring has unfolded as most expected, with Jake Paul untroubled in a unanimous victory in Dallas, Texas.
There was plenty of fascination and interest in whether 58-year-old Tyson could recapture a glimmer of his best and knock out the brash YouTuber.
But it failed to materialise, with Tyson landing just 18 punches across the eight-round bout, with Paul landing 78 times on the veteran American.
UFC 309: JONES VS MIOCIC | Heavyweight champion and all-time great Jon Jones will defend his title against former champion Stipe Miocic | SUN 17 NOV 2PM AEDT | Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports.
The drama kicked off a day early when Tyson slapped Paul at the weigh-in as Paul went full villain mode.
There was barely any more drama in the fight itself, with perhaps the main surprise being the fact Tyson was able to make the distance, albeit over shortened two-minute rounds.
In the end, the 27-year-old Paul threw 978 punches to Tyson’s generous 278 in a one-sided event.
Netflix also crashed just as Tyson entered the ring, although it seemed to stabilise for most viewers when the fight got underway.
