An English boxer has left jaws on the floor after delivering one of the nastiest knockouts you’re ever likely to see on Sunday.

Heavyweight fighter left needing oxygen after sickening KO

Dave Allen scored a knockout of the year contender to brutally finish his Johnny Fisher rivalry.

The 33-year-old Doncaster man was on the wrong end of a controversial decision against the Romford ticket seller, 26, in December in Saudi Arabia, The Sun reports.

But he snatched his career out of the hands of the judges at Stratford’s Copper Box by smashing Fisher in the fifth round with a brilliant left hook, leaving his opponent needing oxygen.

Allen started the fight like a bull out of a gate as he came out slinging monster right hands in the direction of Fisher.

After a back and forth war through the opening four rounds, Allen delivered in the fifth when he delivered a monstrous shot that turned Fisher’s lights out.

Fisher climbed to his unsteady feet and was about to be saved by the bell before Allen smashed him again.

Fisher then face planted and trainer Mark Tibbs’ towel flew in.

Boxing journalist Dan Rafael wrote on X: “WOW! Fisher takes a massive shot as rd 5 was ending, corner throws in the towel and Allen has the big TKO upset! That last shot and Fisher was out on his feet. Fisher had to have been well ahead at the time of the stoppage.”

Overjoyed Allen - who had Fisher’s 7,000 local fans cheering him at the end - said: “I put a bit of weight on to take the body shots, it was a risk but I got it done.

“I will have an ensuite bathroom for my kids now.

“I have been written off so many times but I am a handful at this level.

“I knew I would get the job done, I warned him not to box me from the start. But I am the fattest hard man - or the hardest fat man - you will ever see.

“Johnny Fisher is a very good friend of mine and I meant it all the way through.

“I will not let the trilogy happen because I like Johnny and it wouldn’t be good for him.

“I like to box at my level, I will be a bit smarter now and maybe pick up a British title one day.”
