Trainer and former world champion, Jeff Fenech, has predicted his protege, Brock Jarvis, will contest a world title super fight in Sydney by the end of next year.
Fenech’s prediction comes as Jarvis, 17-0 with 15 knockouts, moved to number 12 contender in the WBA and IBF rankings for the super bantamweight weight division.
And Jarvis turns just 22 this Friday.

While Jarvis faces plenty of hard work before any title bout, Fenech has tipped his student will challenge and win the world title by this time next year.
And the big fight – through the influence and connections of Jarvis’ promoter Dean Lonergan, from D & L Events – will happen in Sydney.
Jarvis is working hard in preparation for a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent as the main support bout to the Jeff Horn-Michael Zerafa stink in Brisbane on December 18.
“The kid wants it really bad,” Fenech told The Daily Telegraph. “By the end of next year, Brock will fight for the world title, for sure.
“Dean Lonergan is with us so he will bring it all out here to Australia which would be great. It would be in Sydney, Brock is a Sydney boy.
“Brock can fight, he’s good looking and he’s a good kid. He is just a different story – a different outlook to other fighters who have been in trouble all their lives and needed boxing to get out of it. Brock is a great story.
“I’m just waiting to totally heal (from recent, well documented illnesses) and I will then put a lot and lot of work into Brock this coming year.

“Brock is ahead of where we thought he would be. It’s my job now to make sure I don’t rush him because he is just about turn 22 and has a long time left in boxing.
“These guys he is fighting, they’re 28 and 29 years old, they are seasoned and strong adults. Brock hasn’t finished growing yet.
“We were out there other night and someone asked him how old he was. He told the lady he was about to turn 22. She said he shouldn’t take it the wrong way but he looked 15. I told him it was compliment and not to get mad at these people.”
Jarvis was told about his improved rankings over the weekend.
“I’m so happy to be rewarded for the hard work I am putting in,” Jarvis said.
JOLS Adidas managing director Paul Jolley signed off on a deal with Jarvis Monday.
Fenech said victory in Brisbane would almost certainly push Jarvis inside the top ten rankings for the first time in his short yet successful career.
“Every time boxers win they look at the rankings. It would also depend on what we do with the fight and how we win,” Fenech said. “If someone pulls out, they put someone up. I’m more than happy with number 12 ranking for Brock’s age.”
“This kid is 100 per cent marketable,” Bouris told The Daily Telegraph. “Brock is becoming a businessman who is a boxer. He is a good boy, a good-looking kid.
“He’s not marked up, he’s not walking around looking like he belongs to a motorcycle gang. He could be worth millions.
“If he gets a crack at the world title, and he’s not far off, he could attract $20 million, $30 million a year in sponsorship here and in the US.”
