There is the fight game, and then there is the fighting within the game.

Boxers, promoters and managers are rarely on the same page.

There will be blow-ups over contracting, gloves, who is the “A-side”, who walks out to the ring first, rehydration clauses and even walk-out songs.

And then there are relationship breakdowns between those who came into the sweet science together but inevitably part ways.

Whether a fighter wants a different trainer, or a manager decides to work with a new promoter, the ramifications in this small world full of strong personalities has created rifts for years – often decades.

And then, there are simply fighters who for one reason or another, just dislike each other, spawning rivalries and trash-talk that have created some of the most memorable moments in sport.
