For 60 seconds Anthony Mundine and Jeff Horn stared off for the cameras and hundreds gathered in Brisbane’s Queen Street mall. After that, it’s not hard to guess who did all the trash-talking.

FINALLY they came face to face and eyeball to eyeball.

Anthony Mundine did all the talking while Jeff Horn mostly smiled.

Hundreds had gathered in Brisbane’s Queen Street mall for the official fight press conference.

All you could hear Horn say was “we’ll see” as Mundine raved on.

“He doesn’t like confrontation or someone in his face,” Mundine said, “It’s his personality.

“I told him he’d put himself in deep water. That he’s going down again. He mightn’t recover from what I’m going to do to him.”

Mundine had promised us that he’d fire up for the press conference after weeks of lying low.

And he didn’t disappoint with lines like: “They’re all watching me baby. I’m the show. He’s boring like watching paint dry. I’m the character. I’m the personality. I’m selling the tickets.

“More people are signing up to watch me fight than when Manny Pacquiao was here. What does that tell you?”

He says he respects Horn but insists they are on a different skill level.

“Look the kid can fight,” Mundine said, “He’s got a warrior heart and all the tools and the talent.

“But he doesn’t have the ability or experience I’ve got.

“There’s levels to this shit man. He got found out against (Terrence) Crawford about the different levels. He’ll find out against me too.

“People talk about my age but I’m a different beast. I’m still super fit. I don’t get tired in fights. I’ve been in the ring with bigger punchers and bigger men than this guy.

“He’s trying to take my legacy but it ain’t going to happen.”
