Adelaide Lighting co-captain Nicole Seekamp has re-signed with the club for next season and will bring WNBA experience from the Dallas Wings with her.
The 26-year-old said she had unfinished business with the Lightning after it lost game three of the WNBL grand final series to Canberra this season.
“We want to go one step further next season,” Seekamp said.
“I think I’m a pretty loyal person and I grew up always wanting to play for Lightning.
“It’s hard for me to leave this place and to start with another team.”
Seekamp’s signature completes what coach Chris Lucas has dubbed his “big four” after Lauren Nicholson, Stephanie Talbot and Natalie Novosel also committed to the club for next season.
“Nat Novosel and I had a lot of fun playing together (in 2017-18),” Seekamp said.
“We know how each other plays, Nat is versatile and she passes the ball well. And playing with Steph in Poland, we know how each other plays as well.”
Seekamp is set to head to the US later this month to join WNBA club the Dallas Wings where she is expected to push for a roster spot with guard Skylar Diggins-Smith pregnant.
“It’s definitely opened a door for me,” Seekamp said.
