ANDREW Bogut scored 11 points and was a beast on the boards as Golden State recorded its second consecutive win to start the NBA season.

The Australian centre was a powerhouse in the Warriors’ 95-90 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, pulling in 12 rebounds and having three assists, two blocks and a steal as his team hung on in the fourth quarter.

Klay Thompson led the way for the Warriors with 29 points and Stephen Curry had 21, but the result wasn’t assured until the final 10 seconds when Golden State’s defensive pressure shone through.

Thompson netted a hook shot with just over eight seconds remaining to put his team ahead by one point, then played a part in stealing the ball back from Portland on their inbound pass after a time-out

After Thompson netted both free throws, Curry stole the next inbound pass and was also fouled, putting the result beyond doubt.
