Alexis Ohanian, the husband of Serena Williams, has broken his silence after she made a surprise cameo during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit founder, Alexis Ohanian, has weighed in on his wife’s brief cameo during the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show.

The tennis legend, 43, made a surprise appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at Caesars Superdome on Sunday.

Ohanian took to social media to share his thoughts about the performance.

“Pretty fantastic halftime show,” the 41-year-old wrote on X after sharing a series of snaps of his view from the VIP suite.

On Monday, the tech guru shared further thoughts about his wife’s dance routine.

“Some of y’all have no idea how criticised Serena was for this same dance at Wimbledon 13 years ago and it shows…. This is bigger than the music,” he wrote on X.

On Sunday, the retired athlete was seen dancing along with the backup dancers to Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us” — his Grammy-winning diss track about fellow rapper Drake.

Williams’ cameo came as a surprise to many, given that she had dated Drake back in 2011.

What’s more, the Canadian rapper revealed in footage released over the summer he wrote the 2016 song Too Good for the tennis superstar.

The following year, Williams and Ohanian tied the knot. The duo have since welcomed two daughters, Alexis Olympia Jr., 7, and Adira River, 1.

Following Sunday’s halftime performance, Williams took to social media to share her thoughts on how it went down.

“Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!” Williams wrote on X.

She later returned to the platform to throw her support behind Taylor Swift, who was viciously booed during the match-up after appearing on the Jumbotron.

“I love you @taylorswift13 don't listen to those booo!!” the 23-time Grand Slam winner wrote on X.

But it appears as though Williams’ cameo rubbed some people the wrong way, including Stephen A. Smith, who had some choice words after watching the tennis legend bust some moves on the field.

The pair tied the knot in 2017 and have since welcomed two children.

“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his ass, ’cause clearly you don’t belong with me,” Smith said Monday on ESPN’s First Take.

“What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”

“If you were with Serena Williams, you’re going to be a kept man anyways,” co-host Ryan Clark responded. “Don’t start that.”

Shannon Sharpe also came to Ohanian’s defence, noting that he did well enough for himself financially.
