Patty Mills’ frequent flyer miles have received one hell of a workout over the past 10 days.
The Australian basketball star has been smack in the thick of the NBA action since the trade period opened.

Mills’ time at the Brooklyn Nets came to an end when he was traded to the Houston Rockets before he was re-routed to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The move to the Thunder delighted Australian fans as it meant the veteran guard would be teaming up with young Aussie star Josh Giddey.
But those joys are now out the window with Mills being traded once again, making it the third time in 10 days.
Mills will now become a member of the Atlanta Hawks after the Hawks traded guard TyTy Washington Jr., forwards Usman Garuba and Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick to the Thunder for Mills.
But the 34-year-old may not be settled just yet with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reporting he could find himself included in more deals.
“Third trade in past 10 days for Patty Mills lands him with Hawks --- for now. They still have to decide on his future with team this season. His $6.8M expiring contract will continue to have value in deals,” Wojnarowski wrote.

Mills’ former Nets teammate and fellow Aussie Ben Simmons has returned to the court and is progressing toward a healthy start to training camp in October.
“We’ve had contact for sure. All of our guys have been locked-in, really keeping us informed. … I’m looking forward to a healthy Ben Simmons and coaching him,” coach Jacque Vaughn said Friday, when he watched the Nets’ 101-97 Summer League loss to the Cavaliers.
“I’m not going to get into any dates or anything. My expectation is I look forward to coaching him healthy and our entire group being able to start the year together and go through training camp together. Those things are important for our group.”
Vaughn was coy when asked whether Simmons was doing full contact, 5-on-5, and when pressed for details of the 26-year-old’s progress.
He intimated Simmons missing the World Cup was more of a mutual decision to ensure he’s as close to 100 per cent as possible for training camp.
“I’m not going to give you all that. He is on the court … no setbacks. I talked to him a day, two days ago. We’ll continue to see him [improve],” Vaughn said. “I’m going to go with Ben’s statement. We always want to look forward to the athlete being in the right frame of mind, the right space to be on the floor.”
