Jennifer Lopez may have wowed the crowds at the AMAs with a racy performance, but one billionaire simply couldn’t help himself.

Billionaire Steve Cohen won’t let Jennifer Lopez or Alex Rodriguez live down their failed bid to purchase the New York Mets.

During Lopez’s sizzling performance at the American Music Awards, Entertainment Weekly tweeted, “Is there anything @Jlo can’t do?”. The new Mets owner couldn’t quite help himself.

A cheeky response the next day of “I’ll give you a hint, it’s a team in NY” was enough to catch the eyeballs of social media.

Cohen beat out Lopez and fiance Rodriguez in a high-profile bid to buy the Mets from the Wilpon family last month for $2.4 billion.

The 64-year-old Cohen, with a net worth north of $14 billion, also appeared to jab the star-studded couple during his introductory news conference this month.

Cohen, when discussing his championship aspirations for the Mets, said nobody remembers if you came in second or third place.

Then the new Mets owner jokingly offered proof, when he was asked about the other bidders for the franchise.

“Who are the other bidders? I don’t remember,” Cohen said.

He later wished Lopez and Rodriguez well.

Rodriguez was reportedly left fuming after losing the bid for the Mets and griped the process was rigged.

Sources close to the former Yankees slugger say they lost the Queens team on Friday, Aug. 28, after the Mets’ banker — Steve Greenberg of Allen & Co. — reached out to ask for a sneak peek at what was being offered. The request came days ahead of the official Aug. 31 bidding deadline.

A-Rod — who has been vying for The Amazins with his superstar fiancee, Jennifer Lopez — reluctantly complied with the request only to learn later that same day that the Mets were in exclusive deal talks with Cohen.

The founder of Point72 Asset Management had offered $2.35 billion for the team — or just $50 million more than the $2.3 billion bid offered by Rodriguez and his group of investors.

The former Yankees third baseman is now convinced that the Mets spoonfed his bid information to Cohen so the billionaire financier and art collector could have the highest offer and win the team. “They took the bids and showed them to Cohen,” a source familiar with A-Rod’s thinking claimed.
