WEST Coast faces a huge challenge to maintain its unbeaten start to 2014, with skipper Darren Glass joining a high-profile list of absentees.

Glass will remain at home after suffering a hip setback this week, joining Mark LeCras (arm), Chris Masten (hamstring) and the suspended Luke Shuey on the sidelines.

The Eagles face a Geelong side that is also 3-0 on Saturday night at Simonds Stadium, where the WA side has not won since 2006.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson said he expected Glass to be fit for the Round 5 clash with Port Adelaide.

“He’s a bit sore — his hip is just a bit tight,” Simpson said.

“It will be a one-week thing, considering his load and how much he’s done over pre-season and his experience.

“He’s not 100 per cent so he can’t play.”

Sharrod Wellingham has been recalled for West Coast’s clash against Geelong

Callum Sinclair has been omitted, with Sam Butler, Josh Hill, Sharrod Wellingham, Scott Lycett and Dom Sheed the inclusions for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Fremantle will make at least three changes to its side to take on Essendon on Sunday, with Chris Mayne (ankle), Michael Walters (ankle) and Garrick Ibbotson (shoulder) all absent.

Colin Sylvia, Zac Dawson, Clancee Pearce, Zac Clarke, Matt Taberner and Josh Simpson come into the 25-man squad.
