A few eyebrows have been raised at Cricket Australia chief executive Kevin Roberts’ home environment. And before 45 staff were stood down, they noticed an embarrassing poster on the wall during a staff video conference.

Working in isolation presents challenges, and a few eyebrows have been raised at Cricket Australia chief executive Kevin Roberts’ home environment.
Roberts’ family has made the odd appearance in official CA staff meetings, and he appeared to log into one video conference from his daughter’s bedroom.

The giveaway was a poster featuring Harry Styles in the background.
Baseball caps and T-shirts have also replaced suits and ties, except before Easter, when Roberts put on a set of bunny ears and reassured staff the summer sport would be OK.
It was just days later that the cash crisis emerged as millions and millions of dollars vanished on the stock market.
The feedback appeared to get through, though.
Roberts dialled into Friday’s staff meeting – the day 45 full-time workers were sent home without 80 per cent of their pay – wearing a Cricket Australia polo.
