Port Adelaide star Jason Horne-Francis says he could only miss the one game with his hamstring injury.
The former No. 1 draft pick suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Power’s heavy loss to Geelong on Saturday.
While he has been listed as four weeks on the Power’s injury report, Horne-Francis could just miss the one game against Fremantle this week.
The Power have its bye after this week and Horne-Francis was actually doing some light running at training on Wednesday.
It has raised hope he could be back for the clash against GWS in just over two weeks time.
“It’s better than first thought,” he said on Triple M on Wednesday.
“I’ve got a lot of strength in it… and moving around very well.
“Walking around pain free so hopefully I might only miss one game. But the most will be two games.”
As well as Horne-Francis, Lachie Jones suffered a hamstring injury while defender Josh Sinn was subbed out of the match with a blow to his hip.
Key defender Esava Ratugolea ran with Horne-Francis on the sidelines at training on Wednesday, with Brandon Zerk-Thatcher in the mix for his first game of the season.
The Power will also weigh up bringing back club games record holder Travis Boak into the side to take on the Dockers.
