A DYLAN Shiel training mishap has sent a scare through the Giants just 10 days out from their season opener against the Western Bulldogs in Canberra.
The All-Australian midfielder was felled when he clashed heads with Matt de Boer during a stoppage drill and needed the assistance of trainers to get back to his feet.

Shiel was forced off under the concussion rule while Cotchin played on and was cleared to play in the grand final win over Adelaide the following week.
