FREMANTLE has confirmed veteran defender Luke McPharlin will line up for a 16th AFL season.
McPharlin, who played only 13 games this year due to injury, has signed a one-year contract extension.
Fremantle list manager Brad Lloyd was thrilled the 32-year-old decided to extend his 238-game career.
“Luke is a champion performer and one of the most respected players and leaders at the club,” Lloyd said.
“He’s a tremendous athlete and a complete professional, so we’re confident he will play at the high level we’ve come to expect from him.”
McPharlin was originally drafted by Hawthorn in 1999 but joined Fremantle for the 2002 season via a trade.
