COLLINGWOOD has officially put a line through both Jamie Elliott and Ben Reid for the season after the duo suffered injury setbacks, while Adam Treloar and Tyson Goldsack are in a race against time to return for finals.

COLLINGWOOD has ruled out Injured forwards Jamie Elliott and Ben Reid for the rest of the season.
Reid re-injured his calf in the VFL on Saturday one week after Elliott suffered another hamstring setback.

However, veteran defender Tyson Goldsack remains a chance to make his comeback this year after a fresh back complaint a fortnight ago slowed his return from a knee reconstruction in preseason.
Star midfielder Adam Treloar is also in a race to recover from a serious hamstring tendon tear.
Gun defender Jeremy Howe is expected to take on Port Adelaide on Saturday at the MCG after missing the win over Brisbane with concussion.
Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley yesterday confirmed Reid and Elliott’s seasons were over, continuing their horrific run with injury this season.
“We won’t get ‘Billy’ (Elliott) back, we won’t get Reid back,” Buckley said on Triple M.
“And ‘Ads’ is probably in Goldy’s shoes, because there is still a fair bit of water to go under the bridge.”
