COLLINGWOOD has been dealt yet another injury blow, with star forward Jamie Elliott appearing to re-injure his hamstring while playing in the VFL on Sunday.

COLLINGWOOD has been dealt yet another injury blow, with star forward Jamie Elliott appearing to re-injure his hamstring.
It what was his first VFL hit-out in his comeback from injury, Elliott sat out the first quarter before clocking up about 13 minutes of playing time in the second term.
However, midway through that quarter, he was forced to come off the ground and enter the Collingwood rooms.

The Magpies confirmed a short time later that Elliott would be done for the day.
Collingwood was hoping Elliott would get through about 60-70 per cent of game time in his comeback match.

The star forward is yet to play a senior match this year as he continues to battle a horror run of injuries.
Elliott missed all of the 2016 season before playing 17 games last year.
The Magpies are now missing Elliott, James Aish, Tim Broomhead Tyson Goldsack, Brayden Maynard and Ben Reid.
