COLLINGWOOD defender Darcy Moore has been named to make a surprise recall to combat West Coast’s big gun forwards on Sunday.
Moore made his return from a hamstring problem in the VFL last weekend and has been named in the 22 to take on the Eagles. After losing Lynden Dunn a fortnight ago, the Pies need Moore to provide aerial support in defence against West Coast’s star goal kickers. Moore did not take part in Collingwood’s match simulation session last night. The Pies VFL team, plus returning stars Jamie Elliott, Alex Fasolo and James Aish, played three 10-minute thirds. Will Hoskin-Elliott Will also play against the Eagles. Elliott looked sharp in his first competitive practice last night, covering plenty of distance across half forward in the Pies’ match simulation. The star goal kicker was quick on the lead and showed his class early in the session, weaving around two opponents to break through traffic. Elliott also showcased his trademark marking power with a strong contested grab in the second stanza. Perfect 9 promo 728x90 Aish was also busy through the midfield but appeared to favour his left knee, which was bandaged.
