KFC SuperCoach stars who have dominated in Queensland in past five seasons revealed

With 22 games in the next five rounds to be played in Queensland, the sunshine state has never been more important in KFC SuperCoach. These are the players who traditionally dominate at the Gabba and Metricon Stadium.

Queensland has come to the rescue for the AFL and the intervention of the sunshine state will have implications for KFC SuperCoach.

Instead of targeting players with proven records at the MCG such as Max Gawn or Marcus Bontempelli ahead of a run of Marvel Stadium games, KFC SuperCoaches should be honing in of those who have performed well at the Gabba and Metricon Stadium.

From rounds 8-12, 22 AFL games will be played at either Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium or Brisbane’s Gabba due to increasing COVID-19 numbers in Victoria and New South Wales.

While some teams will head to Western Australia and other games will be hosted by South Australia, the bulk of games during the next five rounds will be played in Queensland.

The state has been a happy hunting ground for some of KFC SuperCoach’s biggest stars in recent years, headlined by Western Bulldogs pair Jack Macrae and Marcus Bontempelli, Adam Treloar, Patrick Dangerfield and Clayton Oliver.

In four Queensland games between 2016-2020, Macrae has averaged 144.

LATE MAIL: IS MACRAE’S 169 ENOUGH AS VC OR COULD GAWN GO BIGGER?

Treloar (four matches) ranks second with 135.6 KFC SuperCoach points, while Dangerfield (130.5, five games), Oliver (129.5, five games) and Bontempelli (128.6, four games) round out the top-five.

Basing your KFC SuperCoach trades on venues alone can be dangerous, although it is a factor worth considering if you are torn between two players.

However, it is important to remember Brisbane Lions only won 13 games between 2016-2018 and Gold Coast triumphed 19 times from 2016-2019.

The Lions have shed their easybeats tag in the past two seasons and the Suns are vastly-improved this year, sitting seventh with a 4-3 record.

These are players who have performed strongly in Queensland in the past five seasons you could consider in KFC SuperCoach.
