WITH Josh P. Kennedy’s climb up into 16th spot in the super rankings this week, Sydney now occupies a quarter of the Herald Sun Super Rankings top 20.
There’s plenty of Swans in the overall top 20, but a Tiger was the pick of the bunch as MARK ROBINSON and JON ANDERSON ranked their best from Round 13.
The Swans dominate the overall standings — and that’s without Buddy Franklin, who missed three weeks with a bruised heel.

The Sydney system has become a machine through which bad performances and poor form are extinguished. They cease to exist.
Out the other end of the machine, consistent excellence is mass produced.
West Coast offloaded unwanted ruck stock, Callum Sinclair, for then-Swans excitement machine Lewis Jetta in 2015 thinking it was the clear winner having acquired a premiership winning livewire who broke lines for fun at Sydney.
Sinclair is now a weapon in the ruck for Sydney and sits at number 14 in the super rankings.
Meantime Lewis Jetta is still searching for the form with which he thrilled the footy world in Sydney.
Ranking above the likes of Joel Selwood and Clayton Oliver at number seven, Isaac Heeney the young talent no longer exists, only his consistently damaging evolution.
Jake Lloyd simply does not know how to play a bad game and Kennedy’s ascent has him just behind fellow Swans midfield bull, Luke Parker.
The Machine invariably produces player performance which renders it a perennial top four contender.
So it comes as no surprise that five spots in the top 20 belong to Swans.
Does it come as a surprise then, that Richmond is absent from the top 20?
Not when you consider the difference in narrative at the Tigers.
Their even contribution across the board has gone to such a level that Dustin Martin may not even be inside the top three of the club’s Best and Fairest.
The reigning Brownlow Medallist’s omission from the top 20 is not because his form has been poor, but because the Tigers share the load better than anyone.
