FREMANTLE says sore trio Luke McPharlin, Michael Johnson and Chris Mayne will all play in Saturday's Grand Final even if they do little at tomorrow's final training session.

The Dockers will train for the final time at Fremantle Oval before flying to Melbourne for the clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.

Fremantle football operations manager Chris Bond said club doctors had no doubt all three players would be available.

Defenders McPharlin and Johnson have recently returned from calf injuries, while Mayne's back went into spasm before Saturday night's preliminary final against Sydney, almost forcing him to withdraw.

"(They) didn't train yesterday but that was no surprise. In our T1 (first training session of the week) at this time of year, and certainly during the course of the year the players do miss the T1," Bond said.

"A couple of them pulled up a little bit sore from the game.

"From our point of view it's no real threat if they just jog around tomorrow as well. All will be available and all will play. The doctors have no doubt that they will play."

The Dockers are likely to stick with the same 22 that defeated Sydney.

Bond refused to be drawn on the prospects of young midfielder Tom Sheridan forcing his way into the Grand Final team.

Sheridan was the substitute in the stirring qualifying final victory over Geelong, before making way for Johnson to return against the Swans.

"We've got match committee this afternoon so we'll work through that as well," Bond said.

"It gives the coaches another chance to go through the Hawks again and have a look at that.

"All those decisions will be made later this afternoon and tomorrow after training."

The Dockers will take a squad of 25 players when they fly to Melbourne tomorrow.

Fremantle will fly on its normal mid-afternoon Virgin flight and, as per its normal travel routine this season, will not have a run on the MCG on Friday.

"It will be exactly the same," Bond said.

"Obviously the parade is different, but other than that it's going to be exactly the same as what it has every travel week."

Bond played 41 games for the Dockers and was captain in 1999 before being axed.

He said he had given little thought to his time as a Fremantle player.

"I appreciate the history, but as I said before, there's no time really to breathe out and think about it," he said.

"There's so much energy going into the here and now from the players, the coaches, the staff. All our energies are straight into that and that's what I'm really proud of."
