DANIEL Wells wants to play on as a 34-year-old, despite surgery on a foot injury that will impact his summer program.
The Collingwood midfielder played only four senior games this year, after 10 in his first season at the Pies.

He suffered a serious lisfranc fracture in Round 12 against Melbourne and was so determined to continue he played on in the second half with the injury.
The Pies ruled him out for the season with an injury that Tigers legend Matthew Richardson once said was harder to recover from than an ACL.
Coach Nathan Buckley said in the week after Wells’s latest injury he was keen for the silky midfielder to play on but the 33-year-old had to want to continue.
“He is contracted for next year but he has got to want to play and have the capacity to play but we will have those conversations and see where it sits. We would love to get him up and about,” Buckley said.
His manager Liam Pickering said Wells was determined to honour the last season of a three-year deal believed to be worth around $1.5 million.
Meanwhile, rivals believe North Melbourne has some interest in Collingwood defender Darcy Moore as it considers its defensive mix.
North missed out on exciting midfielder Jordan de Goey recently despite offering him a five-year deal worth $5 million and continue to push aggressively for new talent.
Their interest in Moore was one of the talking points of a recent meeting of 12 clubs to discuss trade prospects but the Roos made clear their focus was on midfield talent.
Pickering said recently there were several clubs with interest in Moore, but expects him to sign a new deal at the Pies.
Suns star David Swallow has quashed rival interest, with his brother Andrew moving to the Gold Coast as the Suns midfielder builds a new house with his wife.
Sydney defender Nic Newman is the latest Swans player to be linked to the Suns after star half back Jake Lloyd.
Newman, 25, has played only six games for the Swans this year after 20 last year and has links with former Swans assistant Stuart Dew.
